Mirek Claßen is a designer, startup advisor, university lecturer and innovator who studied Architecture and Parametric Design at the Münster University of Applied Sciences (MSA) in Münster and the Politechnika Krakowska in Krakow. His master thesis included the topic of affordable and customizable housing for the 21st century considering user friendly parametric and generative design tools.
He was supervised by the Zaha Hadid Associate Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Ulrich Blum MArch (AA DRL) and Prof. Kazu Blumfeld Hanada AA. Dipl. After several years of working in the field of 3D Printing, CNC Milling and numerous Startups he moved on as an Innovation Assistant for Covestro (formally known as Bayer Material Science) and continued his career in the Innovation Department Nowlab at Bigrep where he recently took over as the Head of Innovation.
In the recent years he also taught parametric design tools at several Universities and Co-founded the Hackathon Platform Makeathon.CC.
